RESUMO

 

       O presente trabalho tem como objetivo investigar a construção da aparência das personagens sob a perspectiva de possíveis interações entre caracterização visual e dramaturgia. Aparência aqui entendida como a camada externa que configura a personagem como ser cênico acessível aos sentidos, qualquer que seja a práxis de natureza espetacular em que esteja inserida. O termo personagem é aqui utilizado como facilitador do fluxo textual, de análise e se refere a todo ser em cena, humano ou animado, que possa ser elaborado visualmente, para o qual se constrói uma aparência. Tendo em vista a Dramaturgia como o tecido que estrutura a cena e as personagens como condutores das ações que a desenvolvem, esta pesquisa reflete sobre interações e influências mútuas que conectam prováveis modos de construção da aparência das personagens e de construção do tecido dramatúrgico, desde o processo à cena posta em ação.

       A primeira etapa deste trabalho concentra estudos teóricos acerca dos conceitos norteadores da pesquisa. Em sequência, na busca por compreender essas interações, é analisada a telenovela Meu Pedacinho de Chão, dando ênfase aos aspectos que sugerem relações estabelecidas entre a caracterização visual de suas personagens e a dramaturgia da obra, com destaque para a análise da aparência da personagem Zelão. Por fim, são apresentadas reflexões complementares através da observação de experiências que conduziram ao objeto, bem como do relato sobre o processo de caracterização visual realizado para o espetáculo Beira de Estrada, do Grupo Teatral Finos Trapos, aqui inserida como uma experimentação possível dentro do percurso da pesquisa.

       Esta investigação pretende, sobretudo, suscitar novas perspectivas para caracterização visual de personagens de modo a colaborar com discussões e processos que tratem da relevância da aparência na elaboração de uma obra cênica, qualquer que seja sua natureza espetacular.

 

 

RESUMÉE

The present work aims to investigate the construction of the characters' appearance from the perspective of possible interactions between visual characterization and drama. Appearance here understood as the external layer that configures the character as a scenic being accessible to the senses, whatever the spectacular nature praxis in which it is inserted. The term character is used here as a facilitator of the textual flow, of analysis and refers to every being on the scene, human or animated, that can be visually elaborated, for which an appearance is built. In view of Drama as the fabric that structures the scene and the characters as conductors of the actions that develop it, this research reflects on interactions and mutual influences that connect probable modes of construction of the characters' appearance and of the construction of the dramaturgical fabric, from the process to the scene set in motion.

The first stage of this work concentrates theoretical studies on the guiding concepts of the research. Subsequently, in the quest to understand these interactions, the telenovela Meu Pedacinho de Chão is analyzed, emphasizing the aspects that suggest relationships established between the visual characterization of its characters and the dramaturgy of the work, with emphasis on the analysis of the appearance of the character Zelão. . Finally, complementary reflections are presented through the observation of experiences that led to the object, as well as the report on the process of visual characterization carried out for the show Beira de Estrada, by Grupo Teatral Finos Trapos, inserted here as a possible experimentation within the route of the search.

This investigation intends, above all, to raise new perspectives for the visual characterization of characters in order to collaborate with discussions and processes that deal with the relevance of appearance in the elaboration of a scenic work, whatever its spectacular nature.
