SUMMARY:

The present work takes a scientific approach to the relationship between violence and cultural discrimination in Bahia, seeking to investigate through bibliographic research and interviews the importance of the teaching-learning process in the Soldier Training Course in the 2nd Battalion of Teaching, Instruction and Training, for the purpose of reducing violence and social inequality, taking as a starting point the training of students as soldiers. It can be seen that most of the victims of this social scourge are black men and women, mostly from the youth class, inhabitants of communities or metropolitan regions that are composed of descendants of enslaved people, coming from the slave trade. Cultural intolerance is just one of several manifestations of aggression against a minority that is vulnerable to Eurocentric ideological oppression. It sought to address the importance of teaching Afro-Brazilian culture in the Soldier Training Course in the 2nd Teaching, Instruction and Training Battalion and the difficulties
faced by military police officers when faced with crimes against cultural manifestations, and their inability to sense belonging.
