Different approaches have accompanied teaching of the foreign languages through time, making the student become the protagonist in pedagogical methods that consider their motivation and necessities, as seen on Français sur Objectif Spécifique (FOS) where there is Français sur Objectif Universitaire (FOU). In this context, the research asks how the teaching practices developed under this perspective can contribute to the teaching-learning process of french as a foreign language. In a more specific character, it values how the student profiles interfere in the adoption of FOU and in which way the class material produced and the learning check instruments are related to that way of teaching. At the end, it associates the teaching of FOU to the internationalization of UFBA. It being a qualitative, interpretative and with ethnographic aspects, the research is inserted in Applied Linguistics and connects to interculturalism;, to the teacher training; to the academic mobility and to the insertion of the subject in social enviroment. In methodology, it uses of theorical referencing and applying questionnaire; teacher report and analyzing the document. Having as object of analysis FOU, it presents a little studied field in Brazil and searches to fullfill an important gap on what touches the training of teacher of foreign languages, more specifically of french that, in majority, don't know it. The same way, it waits to contribute to reflection over teaching on programs of proficiency, as well as bring visibility of multilingualism, by linguistics politics of actions of internalization of universities.
