Psychological counseling centered on people experiencing academic procrastination: Action research

Academic procrastination should not be conceived only as a factor in the field of learning, as it demonstrates impacts on the health of students who experience it in more severe degrees. As a way of taking care of this public, this work aims to improve a psychological counseling service with person-centered interventions to deal with academic procrastination experiences. To achieve this objective, what would be an experience of academic procrastination is based on the Rogerian personality theory. After this stage, the implementation and practice of a person-centered psychological counseling service is planned. In its methodology, it will use the design of practical action research, aiming to qualitatively understand the efficiency and effects of the proposed service. To this end, data collection will be done by Version of Sense to monitor the activities and at the end of the process by semi-structured interviews. The analysis tool will be the Empirical Phenomenological Method (MFE).
