SUMMARY:

The use of technology is related to the progress of subjects and collectivities, having
as a possibility to improve the quality of life, especially with regard to
innovation in healthcare services. The present study aims to
purpose to describe the potentialities and possible barriers underlying the
telemonitoring at the Psychosocial Care Center for Children and Adolescents (CAPS IA)
of Vitória da Conquista (BA), implemented during the COVID-19 pandemic. THE
telemonitoring protocol for users and their guardians was created by the team
technical service in order to provide, through telephone calls, the execution of
procedures such as listening, assessment of clinical conditions, as well as guidance on
behavioral management, medication management, among other referrals made
to the public served. To achieve the proposed objective, an empirical research will be carried out
qualitative, evaluative and transversal. The method of data collection will be through the
technique of focus groups, to be carried out in two meetings for each group of
participants, lasting approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes. Data collection will be
carried out in the referred service, respecting the ethical requirements applicable to the research. You
research participants will be professionals, guardians and adolescents who participated in the
telemonitoring during the pandemic. The contents produced will be analyzed
thematically. It was assumed that the use of telemonitoring will allow a
expansion in the capacity and quality of care for the children and youth population and their
family members, reduction of waiting lines and greater satisfaction of users, especially those
who reside far from the CAPS equipment. As a result, it is expected to propose to the Management
Municipality to create an online registration and service platform that promotes the
improvement of the services provided by the multidisciplinary team of CAPS IA through the
permanent telemonitoring.
