SUMMARY:

Problem drug use is observed in different social groups and populations. Nowadays, drug users are often directed to treatment institutions based on tutorial ethics, such as long-term care institutions, such as psychiatric hospitals and therapeutic communities. This observation raises questions about the current psychiatric reform process, which is based on the proposal of a network of territorial services that avoid resorting to hospitalization, and the consequences of removing the subject from their existential territory. Faced with this problem, this qualification project intends to analyze the subjective effects of the experience of internment in long-term care institutions aimed at people who make problematic drug use. As specific objectives, it is proposed to investigate the implications of hospitalization in the fabric of social ties and, finally, to build a guide to rights and access to care aimed at people in situations of drug use. In order to reach the propositions made, a qualitative research method was chosen, using the semi-structured interview as a data production technique. The analysis of the empirical material will be done using the French Discourse Analysis. It is suggested that the hospitalization experience produces important effects with regard to the processes of subjectivation of people who use drugs and in the inscription of their social ties. It is expected, with the development of the work, to contribute to the expansion and discussion of the clinical practice of drug use, considering the circulation and recording of the word of a population group that has been historically silenced.
