SUMMARY:

Violence against women constitutes a social and public health problem, causing physical, psychological, sexual and social harm. This study aims to understand the experiences of women in situations of violence and analyze person-centered interventions developed in a Psychological Duty Service of the Technical Police Department for this public. A qualitative methodology and the multiple case study method are used, in which five adult women participate in the study as clients. To obtain empirical material, a field guide is used after each session of psychological care. To process and analyze the empirical material, a Content Analysis and a clinical analysis of the cases are carried out, based on the Person-Centered Approach. At the end of the study, it is intended to prepare a booklet on Person-Centered Psychological Duty focused on demands related to violence against women. It should be noted that this research follows the principles of bioethics and will begin after submission and approval by the Ethics Committee for Research with Human Beings. The project is part of the Clinical Practices and Mental Health research line of the Postgraduate Program in Health Psychology at the Multidisciplinary Health Institute of the Federal University of Bahia. It is hoped that this study can benefit the women assisted in the research and contribute to the scientific advancement of the humanistic approach to the issue of violence against women.
