BRIEF PSYCHOTHERAPY FOR CHILDREN AND ADOLESCENTS VICTIMS OF VIOLENCE IN THE MUNICIPALITY 

OF VITÓRIA DA CONQUISTA-BAHIA

Violence against children and adolescents is considered a public health problem, affecting families and communities. There are several implications that can occur in their social, cognitive and psychological development in the short and long term. In the search for the guarantee of the integral protection of this population and considering the low access to individual psychotherapeutic monitoring in the public service, the objective of this work is to build an intervention proposal through the modality of Brief Psychotherapy for children and adolescents victims of violence in the city of Vitória. da Conquista, Bahia. For this, we seek to carry out a qualitative-quantitative research, of an exploratory-descriptive nature, in which a documental research will be developed through a survey of cases of violence in the Guardianship Councils of the municipality; addition of a bibliographical research, through a systematic review of the literature on the practices of public mental health policies aimed at children and adolescents victims of violence in Brazil and on proposals for psychological support for children and adolescents who are victims of violence, with an emphasis on practices of Brief Psychotherapy. This study is expected to contribute to the effectiveness of health care measures for this population, providing an improvement in care based on decision-making contextualized to the local reality and reflections on practices, in addition to collaborating with the planning of coping strategies. and proposals for public policies aimed at children and adolescents carried out in the municipality, seeking to guarantee them the guarantee of health care.
