SUMMARY:

Pregnancy causes changes in a woman's life and also in her family. A high-risk pregnancy is even more impactful, as adverse situations such as specific illnesses during pregnancy and fetal malformation can contribute to a negative pregnancy experience. It is understood, then, that the transition to motherhood in the context of risk brings with it real challenges regarding the medical-clinical condition of the baby and the pregnant woman and can be associated with hospitalization. Such stressful events can activate maladaptive initial schemas and interfere with the development of the maternal-fetal bond. This study aims to investigate the relationship between maladaptive initial regimens, quality of primary attachment and maternal-fetal attachment in high-risk pregnant women. This is a study with a quantitative design and will be developed with the application of the following instruments: 1) Sociodemographic Questionnaire of the Pregnant Woman, 2) Young Schemes Questionnaire in brief form (YSQ - S3), 3) Parental Bonding Instrument (PBI) and 4) Maternal-fetal Attachment Scale (MFAS-Br). From the data analysis, it is expected to understand the relationship between maladaptive initial schemas, quality of primary attachment and maternal-fetal bonding. In addition, the following products will be developed: 1) an empirical article on the results of the analyzes and 2) a psychoeducational booklet with guidelines for the development of a healthy attachment for high-risk pregnant women. Finally, this project will have the participation of undergraduate students linked to the extension project entitled NEEDH - Nucleus of Specialized Studies in Human Development, registered at UFBA-IMS-CAT as a permanent extension project, contributing to the training of undergraduate students, from research activities.
