READING THE GENDER MEME AT MIDDLE SCHOOL
Meme. Multimodality. Reading.
This research project deals with the reading of the meme genre of the final years of elementary school and aims to investigate how this genre mediated by social networks is configured within the school space. Since the meme is a hybrid of text genre leading to a series of interpretations within the verbal and visual analysis. the study becomes relevant so that it can be effectively inserted into the pedagogical proposal of the Colégio Municipal Eurides Sant'Anna, in Barreiras, in Bahia, school where the research project and the intervention proposal will be carried out. It is intended to carry out such an intervention proposal in order to contribute to the development of the reading skills of these students with regard to reading and interpreting multimodal texts. For all these reasons, it is that a linguistic-discursive analysis of the meme genre becomes an important pedagogical intervention to promote multimodal literacies for students in the eighth grade of elementary school.
