RESUMO:

The objective of this work, being developed in ProfLetras - UFBA -, is to present a proposal of work in the classroom, starting from the editorial discursive genre, considering the literacy perspective. The intervention project will be applied in the Colégio Estadual Cidade de Camaçari, in a class of 1st Year. The research/intervention work is based on the concepts of literacy of Kleiman (2008), whose definition considers the social implications, contexts and objectives of the use of writing; and discourse genre, by Bakhtin (1997), which associates the articulation of social practices with school objects in the field of teaching oral and written texts. The present work also proposes a teaching practice of Portuguese as a curricular discipline, through reading activities and text production, from the editorial essay-argumentative genre. The focus in the editorial genre is justified by attending to the demands for an effective teaching of Portuguese language, besides stimulating the integration and participation of the students, who will experience the sharing and appreciation of their experiences and opinions. This approach allows the student to work with the language in use, that is, alive and inserted in society. Therefore, the socio-interactionist approach, which is a set of actions, from the point of view of literacy, that allow the student the opportunity to build their learning with relevant interventions. As a methodological resource, a didactic sequence will be applied - "a set of school activities organized systematically around a verbal or written textual genre" (SCHNEUWLY and DOLZ, 2004, p.97). The didactic sequence will consist of activities of reading, discussion (debate), writing and rewriting, among others, all related to the editorial discursive genre. At the end of the application of this project, it is intended that the students: acquire greater mastery and competence in reading and writing, recognize the editorial as a discursive genre, thus expanding its repertoire of genres; interact with the copyrights and colleagues, indicating new possibilities of construction; produce and socialize essay-argumentative texts of the editorial genre and recognize, through oral and written practices, efficient speakers / users of the Portuguese language.
