This interventional research project seeks to promote reading behavior for children and young people who do not have frequent contact with literate culture, through children's and youth literary literacy activities. and construction of knowledge in a non-linear and non-hierarchical way: students and teacher are protagonists, establishing a reflective and collaborative dialogical practice across differences, with a playful, critical and pleasurable character. main objective is to corroborate the dialogue in implementing a pedagogical practice that discusses the process of racial self-identification under the child's perception, analyzing how the school has provided (or not) the construction of an Afro-descendant identity. Therefore, the question is: what contributions could Black-Brazilian children's and youth literary literacy activities bring to the construction of an Afro-descendant child's identity at the Luís Pereira Costa Municipal School? As a justification, the evidence reflected in the prominent percentage of racial awareness by the families of the Luís Pereira Costa Municipal School demonstrates favorable conditions for sounding out the voices of children and young people through investigative research and confirming the importance of ethnic-racial discussion in the school routine. The statistical numbers produced by the Basic Education Census in the state of Bahia show the results of defining the ethnic-racial identification profile of the school unit where I teach: 72% of children are considered black/brown; 15% white, 3% yellow/indigenous and 10% chose not to declare. In view of the above, I point out that I do not verify in my school routine pedagogical practices that provide brown and/or black children with experiences with literary texts that explore the ethnic-racial diversity of culturally plural materials, in view of the observation of the maintenance of the white canon, always privileged in the classroom. That said, I assume a proactive role in the investigative proposal, given its social relevance as an instrument capable of guaranteeing compliance with Law 11,645/08, which ratifies the ethnic-racial discussion as a fundamental axis to guarantee a more equitable education for children in Basic Education. The guiding principle for the development of this project is the Afro-centered methodological approach and, as a theoretical contribution, Black-Brazilian Literature is discussed as a literary representation of ethnic affirmation and cultural identity. The design and development of this work takes place in the interpretative-critical field of the qualitative study of the research-action type, with characteristics of ethnography given the field immersion, applied through the research instrument of the conversation wheel, as a premise to dialogicity, curiosity and criticality , in a space for the democratic exchange of ideas, knowledge, reflexivity and respect for uniqueness. The pedagogical practice is not restricted (only) to the instructional character or to the production of school knowledge. It involves the expansion of the student's training through multiple dimensions such as the establishment of more dialectical human relationships and the construction of the new. Como sujeitos da pesquisa, 30 (trinta) crianças matriculadas na turma 5º ano A, turno matutino, selecionadas de forma intencional e não-probabilística e o objeto de pesquisa será a Escola Municipal Luís Pereira Costa, rede de ensino municipal de Camaçari/Ba. A investigação com abordagem qualitativa e objetivos descritivos serão realizados na sala de aula onde assumo a função de professora regente. Nesta fase, o projeto foi recebido para análise ética pelo Comitê de Ética em Pesquisa (CEP) e aguarda parecer consubstanciado da relatoria.
