PROPOSAL FOR PRESERVATION AXIS STREET HALFELD
Urban heritage; modern architecture; wealth management; normative;
conservation polygonal; galleries and boardwalks
The present work intends to preserve the historical and cultural heritage of the urban
center of Juiz de Fora, specifically in Halfeld Street (sidewalk), while ensuring the vitality of
galleries and sidewalks, responsible management of heritage as a common good and as public
or private property and ensuring good urban availability. Halfeld Street is a route of major
historical importance in the daily life and collective memory of judges, where it suffers from
the lack of norms of conservation, besides the real estate specification.
This work had an extensive data collection, diverse document sources and detailed color
surveys to support a diagnosis, which served to create a series of proposals for one-way,
galleries and limestones, which were intended to direct a constant integration between o or
urban heritage, built heritage and urban planning. Resulting in the elaboration of tipping
guidelines and legislation for the street and the whole set of galleries and sidewalks.
