This research discusses the methodological strategies adopted in the discipline Theater in a public school in Salvador. The objective was to identify triggers for the collective creation of a dramatic text as a methodological path for the teaching of theater. The investigation was carried out over three months, at the State College Tereza Conceição Menezes, with the participation of 245 students of the 6th and 7th grade of Elementary School II. During theater classes, students entered the theater universe through collective creation methodologies. The research, of qualitative nature, has as methodological basis the approach of practice as a field of knowledge. Throughout the process, experiments were carried out in which the constitutive elements of the theater were addressed, with particular focus on dramaturgical creation, using the theatrical games proposed by Viola Spolin, Augusto Boal, Olga Reverbel and the active methodologies. As results, the work allowed observing the relevant role of theater in education, as a transforming agent of the subjects and as a contribution to interdisciplinary works contributing to the reading, writing and interpretation of texts. A reflection was carried out on the importance of collective dramaturgical construction in the school, where several voices echo in search of affective listening. In addition, the research generated, as a product, a dramatic text constituted through the narratives of themselves, from a process of collaborative creation, in which the various existing voices of the classroom are present.
