Under the backdrop of the 2013 demonstrations in Salvador, this dissertation aims to think about the meaning and value of online networks as a conduit for (re) building a political and participatory identity in the midst of cultural diversity. This theme comes from the rhizomatic outbreak of a series of mass demonstrations that took place since December 2010, inspired by the Arab Spring, and which explodes in Brazil in June 2013, with a cycle of protests led by the Free Pass Movement. The research turns to the construction of new senses given by the social actors to the political action and their biography of activism, these circumscribed in a disruptive process that provides the opening of new spaces of political participation, where cyberspace is highlighted. The Internet and new information and communication technologies (NICTs) seem to contribute not only to a new political make, but also to the emergence of new activism profiles. The study develops with the contribution of the Collective Subject Discourse Methodology (DSC) and brings into perspective the perspectives of participation of active members of the Collective Tariff Zero (CTZ), a collective from Bahia, member of the federation of the Free Pass Movement.
