SUMMARY:

Candomblé terreiros were a way in which black African men and women contracted to reorganize themselves culturally, traditionally and religiously after the trauma of kidnapping, slave trade and enslavement. Within these spaces, powerful aspects of a secular culture managed to maintain themselves and be passed from generation to generation through oral tradition. One of these aspects concerns the way in which these individuals used and use words to understand the world they live in, bringing another more comprehensive cosmo perception of the art of living. In Brazil, African religiosity has become a religion, recreating everyday practices that involve orality and art, as well as a constant experience and involvement with nature of which we are a part, just like all the elements that compose it. In Bahia, Candomblé takes paths that will guide Afro-descendants to rebuild their paths, as nations that differ in the way of reverence, naming the sacred is one of them. Another characteristic of this rebuilt ancestry in the diaspora is the acceptance of other cultures with which these peoples had contact when they arrived in Brazil, the original peoples of this country were one of these encounters, this relationship that oscillates between syncretism and another way of being in the world is represented by Candomblé de Caboclo, where the Caboclo or Encantado, the owner of the land. is revered. All this movement is accompanied by music and dance. It is at this point that I bring in this research the analysis of the songs of Caboclo or Encantado as Literature, the enchanted poetry, within the Literature-terreiro concept coined by Professor Dr. José Henrique Freitas, providing the space that encompasses and comprises several literary productions whose modalities do not they were legitimized or accepted in the canon pre-established by the hegemonic European thought in force until the present day. In this beginning of research, some of the companions were presented later, for purposes of defense of the thesis. Among the constants in this text are: the reflection on the importance of the Candomblé yard as a space for preserving memory, ancestry and knowledge practices, the Caboclo or Encantado as a representation of nature and everything that composes it and the songs of Caboclo, within the Literature-terreiro concept, which is the backbone of this research, also bringing the discussion about Literature and its target or objective.
