RESUMO:

This research refers to the use of digital technologies and mobile applications, inspired by the perspective of multiliteracies (CADZEN; et al, 1996; COPE; KALANTZIS; 2009; ROXO; MOURA, 2012), in a context of emergency remote teaching of English. The aim is to identify and understand emerging issues from the uses of mobile applications by a research teacher and students from the 6th year of Elementary School, participants of the investigation and part of an unprecedented education scenario generated by the CoViD-19 pandemic. The actors of everyday life in a public school located in Feira de Santana, Bahia, and the apps they use are seen and researched, above all, in their human-non-human relationships for the production of data from the (non)ways of the post-qualitative research (HERNÁNDEZ Y HERNÁNDEZ; BENAVENTE, 2019; GONZÁLEZ; SEGOVIA, 2019; ST. PIERRE, 2018; ULMER, 2017). Despite being an ongoing investigation, some data have already highlighted the clash between marketing purposes and pedagogical needs and interests related to the apps, in addition to the premise that regardless of the didactic resource used, mediation and the teacher's role are irreplaceable.
