RESUMO:

This research entitled From “things” from a chest to readings in a Bahian
semiarid: what the stories and memories of teachers who graduated from
PARFOR reveal has the central objective of investigating and understanding
the trajectories of reading and writing experiences lived by teachers who
graduated from the Pedagogy- PARFOR- and residents in the municipalities of
Canudos, Quijingue, Monte Santo and Tucano, emphasizing, from childhood to
today, the cultural experiences of each participant in the context of daily life,
school education, profession and cultural experiences. Thus, we take as a
research object the cultural reading practices of teachers from the semiarid
region of Bahia. In order to have access to personal, training and professional
itineraries, and in view of the objectives as well as the research object, the
Narrative Interviews (EN) were chosen as the research methodology. As a
main procedure for obtaining this data and as a personal strategy, a large
wooden chest containing various objects was taken to the places surveyed, as
a device for provoking emergencies in the participants' stories and experiences.
The choice for these cities is due to the professional activities already
developed by the researcher in the region and the opportunity to, through this
study, raise other research possibilities related, directly and indirectly to this
theme, in the municipalities. In this way, we resort to the autobiographical
approach, as we propose to analyze the memories of the cultural practices of
pedagogues through their life stories. This research, of a qualitative nature, will
seek support in the theoretical contributions of the following thematic axes:
Cultural Practices of Reading, Literacy, Life Stories and Memory.
