RESUMO:

With the aim of analyzing the construction of the Ethics of Teaching Initiation Scholarship (ID) of the Institutional Program of Teaching Initiation Scholarships (PIBID) of the Institute of Letters of the Federal University of Bahia, this research proposes to observe the practice of PIBID Letras da UFBA during the teacher education process of undergraduate students, reflect on the concept of ethos and its construction over time, in addition to verifying the eminent ethos of ID scholarship holders. In order to carry out this study, texts of various genres produced by scholarship students are studied, in which they point out their experiences with the teaching practices acquired during PIBID, in order to analyze the construction of the ethos presented in these texts, also considering the context of formation of students. graduates. Inserted in the field of studies of Discourse Analysis, the methodological approach of this research is characterized by the qualitative nature, of exploratory character, that allows the observation and description of the phenomena through the understanding and interpretation of the data. Thus, the research is being developed from a bibliographic survey of theoretical categories, which allows analyzing the construction of ethos from the perspective encompassed by Maingueneau (2005, 2008, 2013), which addresses the transformations of ethos and distinguishes them into discursive and pre-discursive, said and shown. The first chapter of this paper presents a contextual overview of teacher training in Brazil and of the initial teacher training proposed by PIBID. The second chapter, to better understand the notion of ethos discussed today, proposes an overview of the historical path of ethos, which involves the studies of Aristotle's Rhetoric, discussed by Reboul (2004), Meyer (2007) and Eggs (2005), from Argumentation according to Perelman (2005), until reaching the perspectives of Maingueneau (2005, 2008, 2013, 2015) for Discourse Analysis. The third and last chapter focuses on the analysis of the construction of the teaching ethos in training. So far, the research reveals that the PIBID training process and teaching practice contributed to the construction of the self-image of these ID scholarship holders, configuring an ethos of future teachers concerned with Portuguese language teaching and Brazilian education, in addition to present a critical view of teaching and methodologies adopted in the classroom.
