This master´s dissertation socializes results of an investigation in which was made a survey and study of the conceptualization forms of Brazilian ex-president ultimate removal, Dilma Vana Rousseff, it contains as corpus fragments of newspaper news of five online newspapers published by five different countries that were composing Mercosul until the final voting for impeachment made on Brazilian federal senate, that ends to condemn the ex-president for crime of responsibility driving her to the loss of presidential term. The newspapers used to compound the corpus were wrote in Portuguese language and Spanish: Folha de São Paulo, El Mundo, Clarín, El País and HOY, edited respectively in Brazil, Venezuela, Argentina, Uruguai and Paraguay; all extracts that compose the corpus were collected from news published on August 31st 2016, when happened the final voting for the ex-president removal. This research was supported by a qualitative study, from a documental and hermeneutic perspective. The theoretical support was taken from cognitive semantics, specifying more from the discussions of Lakoff and Johnson (2002 [1980]), Lakoff (1987), Lakoff (2007 [2004]), Soriano (2012), Barcelona (2012), Lakoff (2007 [1980]), Ibarretxe-Antunano and Caballero (2008), among others. The results were organized from source-domain of experience, considering metaphorical, metonymic and metaphtonymy mapping, that pointed to the conceptualization of ultimate removal of the ex-president of Brazil through the identification of linguistics expressions which the meanings could be considered as characterizers of the frames, as proposed theoretically by Lakoff (2007 [2004]), from this present the intrinsic relation between linguistics, cultural, historical, social, experiential and conceptual manifestation. As example of metaphorical conceptualization we can find the expression: “O governador de São Paulo, Geraldo Alckmin (PSDB), disse que: ‘o impeachment, não há como negar, é traumático’, mas consolida o processo democrático” (FOLHA DE SÃO PAULO, 2016, p.4), trigging the metaphor that IMPEACHMENT IS TRAUMA and IMPEACHMENT IS CONSOLIDATION. As example of metonymic conceptualization, we can find the following extract: “Aunque desde ayer había certeza que la mandataria sería defenestrada, el episodio no deja de tener un terrible impacto.” (CLARÍN, 2016, p. 1-5), trigging the metonymic CAUSE-CONSEQUENCE, once that the impeachment (cause) drove to the defenestração of the president (consequence). Those and another examples are interpreted and discussed on this dissertation.
