SUMMARY:

This research intitled “Identity recreation of the visual disable person from
the color perception” have as central objective comprise how, visual disable persons,
improve the ability to infer the meaning of words or expressions from metaphors, similes
and synesthesia, which, as language resources, can favor the accessibility of people with
visual impairment in the perception of colors. The books “O Livro das Cores” e “As cores
no mundo de Lúcia” will be use as important material, a theoretical framework that seeks
to answer some needs of this research, such as the theoretical-methodological axis of
Genetic Criticism, using texts by Salles (2008, 2010, 2017) and Biasi (2010) as important
authors, also subsidized by Peirce's Semiotics, through the studies of Santaella and Nöth
(2017). The audiodescription scripts, based on Farias (2013), Costa (2014), Mayer (2012,
2016, 2017), Motta (2016) and Vergara-Nunes (2016) will also serve as methodological
support for the research. The issue of reading is addressed in the research based on
Brazilian legislation (2013, 2018), which underlies this practice. The research under
analysis is qualitative, with a narrative and procedural basis, built with data collected from
the process of color perception by people with visual impairments, congenital or acquired,
during multisensory workshops. In addition, the oral narratives produced by the research
participants will describe experiences and facts that are significant for the construction of
their identity, considering the profile of each one, before and after the activities developed
in relation to the perception of colors. This investigation also brings, within its
methodology, elements of autobiographical narrative research (BAUER, GASKELL,
2002; CLANDININ, CONNELLY, 2015), seeking to investigate various documents,
such as: interviews, autobiographical texts, diaries and personal notes by the subject
whose material produced is the target of analysis. The proposed research, then, brings the
autobiographical narrative and the audio description scripts as instruments of data
collection and monitoring of the knowledge construction process based on the
participants' sensory experiences. Another important methodological instrument for this
investigation are learning objects called multisensory workshops, which can assist, in a
practical and consistent way, the construction of the knowledge of students and teachers,
in addition to bringing simple and low-cost experiments, becoming a strategy that gives
the student the opportunity to discover, debate and socialize questions related to possible
solutions about what will be worked on in each activity.
