Investigation of the speech of a 11-year-old neurodiverse child (with support level 1 autism), on the basis of the Natural Phonology framework, using the Simplifying Phonological Process methodological/analytical procedure (INGRAM,1976; GRUNWELL ,1985, 1987; TEIXEIRA 1985, 1988, 2016). Results point out that in this case of atypical development, as also found in the conditions of Dyslalia, Dyslexia, and Intellectual Disability, among others, the phonological deviance results from the prevalence of simplifying phonological processes beyond the expected developmental age.
