SUMMARY:

Cardoso (2016) defines Dialectology as a branch of Linguistics that deals with the identification and description of the different uses of a given language. A Dialectology is a main part of research theory, bringing with it the studies that include Lexicology and Phraseology. It is understood that the research with the study Diatopic provides a basis for recognizing monolexies or polylexies. The search it is based on Dialectology and Pluridimensional Geolinguistics. Has as objective to explore the resources of the ALiB, to carry out an inventory of the units lexical texts in the Northeast Region. The thesis is of a descriptive-interpretative nature, idefining the study from the research promotion according to two questions 121 and 122 of the Life Cycles Lexical Semantic Questionnaire of the ALiB Project: “Women lose blood every month. What is it called?” and “At a certain age it ends a/o______ (Cf. item 121). When this happens, the woman is said to _____.” Bringing records from the questions, thus producing a lexical collection of Menstruation variants and entering menopause. The research also brings results with consulting the analyzed dictionaries Moraes Silva (1789) Houaiss (2009), Aulete
(2011), based on the words described in the samples. The research corpus refers to to the Brazilian Linguistic Atlas Project, with a total of 244 linguistic surveys. You informants belong to two age groups (18 to 30 years old and 50 to 65 years old), being of both sexes and having two levels of education - incomplete fundamental and
university degree - for research production. Choosing by geographic area takes place in the Northeast Region of Brazil, with a total of nine states studied and composed of 78 locations. The results of the variations are shown in the tables, graphs, as well as the result of the diatopic variation in the charts language. Having as an important point to establish the geographical distribution of the more productive lexias of the two questions inserted in the work, going through the cartographic method that Geolinguistics establishes for a better performance of the production. It is noticed that the research shows with relevance the variants
found in the Northeast Region, namely: menstruation, ox, rule, goat, being ox, being menstruating, being a goat, menopause, tying the machete.
