RESUMO:

Observing a gap regarding the lack of research oriented towards the understanding of the modes of consumption of psychic research of the prospective research network in Salvador - BA and Natal - RN of interviews and participant observation. A generational particularity of the counterculture presents itself with emphasis on the construction of the modes of relation with the psychoactive products, as well as the repercussions of the aging. We present, therefore, an in - depth description of the practices and practices associated by our interlocutors with the consumption of psychoactive substances in life courses and without recourse to psychoactive substances in the aging process. We can perceive the importance and the transformations of meaning and expectations in the ingestion of data about the people who are living with values and practices libertarian, antiauthoritarian and with a very particular tendency to manage the relations with the psychoactive ones and an idea of the youth. The contemporary context of drug use, therefore, showed the ways in which friends experience their own aging and the shared marks of the generation that now reach old age.
