CRIATURA: creative tourism as a development and social management approach
Creative tourism. Territorial development. Local productive arrangements. Creative tourism products.
This research proposes a study on creative tourism, which involves the survey of good practices from the experiences of the Loulé Criativo, TASA and Tertúlia Algarvia projects and the evaluation of the potential use of this approach as a parameter for the development of new tourism products for the city of Salvador. The methodological approach used was the qualitative one, through a holistic case study, performed in the cities of Loulé and Faro - Portugal, where the practice of the creative tourist activity became a reference, particularly in the gastronomic segment. A social management technology was created through the confection of a game and a set of workshops, which aims to inform, disseminate and familiarize local tourism trade actors about creative tourism and then show how the practice of this activity can be an impacting alternative and an instrument for transformation and development of the destination, building new creative tourism experiences in a post-pandemic context. The initial application of the technology will be in the city of Salvador, to be replicated in other tourist cities, where cultural tourism is already massified.
