Social management of urban mobility: a proposal for guidelines for the Itapagipe Península

This work analyzes the weaknesses of the main urban mobility plans, programs and projects that, until the date of publication of this dissertation (2024), are in force in the city of Salvador, with regard to the social management of urban mobility. Therefore, thinking about/implementing social management of urban mobility in the Itapagipe Peninsula supported by mapping actions for management actors, identifying the challenges of urban mobility and confronting the actors' views regarding the studied perimeter. This is a research with a qualitative approach and an exploratory-descriptive study, based on the research instruments of document analysis and semi-structured interviews. Seven actors operating inside and outside the territory were mapped, four of which were interviewed. The most comprehensive method of applying the research instrument resulted in the collection of information, resulting in the collaboration of interviewees to assist the author in proposing guidelines that could improve the current social management of urban mobility in the Itapagipe Peninsula and contribute to the formulation of plans, future programs and projects, including, those involving other themes in the studied region as well as outside it.
