SUMMARY:

The research project presented in the qualification underwent significant and relevant modifications based on the experience of the first class of ACCS ADMK28, which began in 2023.1 Contact with the reality of CSOs in the territory of the Itapagipe Peninsula, made more closely within the scope of this extension activity enabled a better understanding of social practices and knowledge produced by civil society with an emphasis on the relevant role assumed by the five organizations selected for the development of this research project. The first theme of the project qualified in the master's degree was ASSESSMENT OF THE MANAGEMENT CAPACITY OF CIVIL SOCIETY ORGANIZATIONS: Co-Building Technology in Public Policy Management with an emphasis on MROSC. From the deepening of theoretical studies and a closer relationship with CSOs carried out in the previous academic semester 2023.2, the theme of the study was preserved, but the focus of the research was expanded to reflect the relevance that civil society has assumed, since the process of Brazil's redemocratization, which began in the 1980s. In this sense, it was decided to give greater emphasis to the role that these organizations have played in strengthening democratic management. Its objective is to co-construct a methodology for evaluating the management capacity of public policies, considering the changes resulting from the approval of the New Regulatory Framework for CSOs (MROSC), from 2014, but privileging contributions that date back to current social movements and traditions that have marked Brazilian social relations. Therefore, when expanding the scope of the research, it is also necessary to redefine the TGSs that will be presented to the scientific community and society as a result of the academic effort that this researcher is committed to co-producing with social actors and that will count on the fundamental support of the research group. research in Political Administration at UFBA.
