SUMMARY:

This dissertation had as general objective to analyze the theories about afrotourism and propose a Social Management Technology (SGT) so that social networks are used to give visibility to the cultural manifestations of candomblé terreiros and thus strengthen afrotourism in the Itapagipe Peninsula. Afrotourism is a movement that encompasses activities of rescue, appreciation, preservation, reconnection with identity and history through cultural, material and immaterial goods, which have black people as protagonists (RODRIGUES, 2021; OLIVEIRA 2020a; OLIVEIRA 2021, NERES, 2020). Itapagipe is a territory formed by 14 neighborhoods, part of the city of Salvador, which since its inception has been going through several economic and social transformations, with poverty as a characteristic, despite having a great tourist potential, mainly cultural. Through an inductive method, of a qualitative nature, a single case study methodological approach was conducted, using 3 techniques for data collection: interviews, documents and non-participant observation. Empirical and theoretical research data were examined based on thematic analysis and content analysis. The results showed that the cultural manifestations of Casa de Oxum – Rota Afronáutica da Cidade Baixa, Rota Afro da Feira de São Joaquim, Culinária do Cuscuz and Samba do Cuscuz are manifestations that have the characteristics of afrotourism. And, based on these results, it was possible to propose the Afrotourism Map of Axé, which is a tool to help social actors and people involved in the operationalization of cultural manifestations of Candomblé terreiros to structure contents related to their cultural manifestations for dissemination on social networks.
