THE AFROPERCUSSIVE ORCHESTRA OF NEGRO-DRAMATURGICAL NOTES OF THE OLODUM THEATER BAND UNDER THE REGENCY OF MAESTRO ERÊ

This scientific research aimed to identify the Olodum Theater Band’s performance as a diffuser of knowledge of racial issues for artists and audiences with fulcrum in Erê (2015), silver Wedding assembly of this soteropolitan company of Black Theater, that shouted against young black people’s genocide. The methodology used was, as for the goals, an exploratory-descriptive research of social reality, an exploratory-descriptive research of social reality; as regarding the kind of data, the qualitative nature was chosen; as regarding data collection procedures and information sources, a bibliographic review of black authors in general was performed, documentary analysis of the dramatic text and field research for empirical data collection. For this, opted for the non-participant observation of 03 (three) rehearsals of the above-mentioned show, 18 (eighteen) semi-structured interviews with the artists were promoted and 75 (seventy-five) questionnaires were applied to the audience. The results pointed out that this theatrical group contributes daily to minimize the cognitive socio[cultural-economic-political-] segregation regarding the action-reflection binomial on racial issues by masterfully filling the huge gaps in black historiography pre, trans and post-slavery in the unbroken struggle for full citizenship.
