SUMMARY:

The proposition, in the Tractatus Logico-Philosophicus, is the propositional sign in a projective relationship with the world. This type of articulation, in effect, must ensure that the same logical status prospers between false and true propositions. But how does one anchor a false proposition if the world, according to the Tractatus, is all that is the case? The work intends to discuss the postulation of simple objects as an internal requirement for the harmony between world and language, as well as the determination of the propositional meaning independently of its truth value. Objects are, then, fixed and immutable, only their configurations with other objects, imposed by logical form, vary. The result of this is that the requirement for the simple has as its counterpart its indistinguishability in relation to other objects, as Wittgenstein himself admits in aphorism 2.0233, under penalty of making the figuration of the world unfeasible. Thus, the work also seeks to explore the consequences of the pictorial theory of figuration based on the ontology present in the Tractatus, in how logical atomism is compatible with the harmony between world and language. The result is that objects can only be distinguished by describing their external properties, that is, as poles of coordination with other objects. Defined as simple, on the other hand, the object itself is ineffable. Thus, the ability of language to be able to draw a figuration of the world includes conditions, which are ineffable, that cannot themselves be objects of description of language itself, as is the case with naming and the isomorphy between world and language present in pictorial theory.
