The desiring voice - Trails and clues for a pedagogy of the voice
Voice, body, breathing, actor training, theatrical pedagogy
This research outlines a proposal for a theoretical-practical vocal pedagogy, intertwined with the author's teaching and theatrical experience since her graduation at the Dulcina de Moraes Arts College in Brasília until her development as a vocal coach, covering 13 years of practical experiences in voice. The voice is also based on the knowledge of dance, music, somatic education as well as philosophy, weaving what is called here as the desiring voice. In this way, creation, development as well as analyzes of practices carried out in the rehearsal room that took place in 2019 during the teaching internship during the Creative Laboratory course at the Federal University of Bahia are presented, as well as workshops held in partnership with Teatro Vila Velha between 2019 and 2022. The hypothesis is that due to the multiplicity and diversity of artistic languages found in the contemporary scene, the actor works within the limits of his own being, which requires other modes of activation and listening by the performer, which it in turn implies practices that creatively encompass your physical and sensory body.
