SUMMARY:

The care has been and is the object of much research in the areas of health, philosophy, and social sciences. With the Covid-19 pandemic, this theme became an inevitable figure in the scientific work and social networks, among other issues it showed in practice how the planet is connected, we are a totality. This totality, as a holistic and gestalt perspective, was one of the triggers of this research, along with the somatic and artistic approach of Somatic-Performative Research and the studies of the rhythms of Movement for Life. Thus, the objective was to study care from a holistic, rhythmic, and artistic-somatic perspective. This research then intends to build a somatic-performative understanding of care by creatively integrating knowledge from Somatic-Performative Research, the Gestalt Approach and Movement for Life. The methodology used was the Somatic-Performative Research, a practice as research that bases the construction of knowledge in embodied artistic practice. To this end, performances were carried out with the Collective A-feto Dance-Theater of the Federal University of Bahia, the participation of the Performance Laboratory, elaboration of experiences and somatic-performative records. Seven rhythmic dimensions of care were systematized. They had as an integrated guide the seven rhythms proposed by Gisela Rocha in the Movement for Life developed from your practice of Gabrielle Roth's 5Rhythms®. They are the Receptive, Flow, Staccato, Chaos, Adagio Legato, Lyrical, and Stillness. These rhythms were revisited from the prism of care and expanded in articulation with the Contact Cycle proposed by Jorge Ponciano Ribeiro, adjacent concepts in Gestalt Approach, and with the thematic principles in Somatic-Performative Research proposed by Ciane Fernandes. The care is more than just a survival instinct; it is also a creator-caregiver impulse. He directs us towards the construction of transforming meanings, fruit of the encounter, whether with me, with another person or with the world. A transformation that makes us increasingly ourselves, with authenticity, somatic wisdom, with consideration and respect for everything that exists in this totality of which we are a part of.
