Keywords: Pedagogy of Appreciation; Social oppression; Viewer; Theater.
Resume:
The thesis is configured as an exercise of reflection on praxis in the field of Pedagogy of Appreciation. Concept that designates a way to teach theater classes based on the triangular teaching of the arts developed by Ana Mae Barbosa, emphasizing the doing, appreciating and contextualizing for a comprehensive cognitive capacity of scenic creation, aligned with Augusto Boal's Aesthetics of the Oppressed, privileges the place of the spect-actor as an agent of reflection and social transformation. I narrate passages of my personal life trajectory and my sensorial, intellectual and affective encounter with theatrical art at different times, to deal with the flows and transits that triggered the realization of the doctoral field research in the character of Theater Workshop with people in homelessness in the city of Salvador, Bahia- Brazil in the Social Run for Hug Program. It is, therefore, about the analysis of an educational process in performing arts with socially vulnerable segments, aiming at the elaboration of an aesthetic pedagogy based on critical foundations capable of contributing to ways of subversion of social oppression from the theatrical encounter.
