WHAT HAPPENS IN THE REHEARSAL ROOM, STAYS IN THE REHEARSAL ROOM!?”
A BREAK OF SILENCE REGARDING FEMALE SEXUAL AND MORAL HARASSMENT IN THE THEATER AND REHEARSAL ROOM
Theater. Rehearsal room. Sexual and moral harassment. Actresses.
This research deals with case studies, which aims to investigate, collect data and analyze sexual and moral harassment suffered by Brazilian actresses in rehearsal rooms and within the theater, for possible reflections on how theater , or rather, people who perform theater, can contribute to such actions being denaturalized and subverted. The work consists of exploratory, cartographic and applied research, which searches for some factors that can be changed, without making generalizations of facts that are problematic within the theatrical scope. The study is still in development, in the writing process, and in constant search for maturity. It is based on reflections by women writers and researchers, such as Carla Akotirene (2020), Audre Lorde (1977), Elza Cunha de Vincenzo (1962), Nilma Gomes (2019), among others and other authors and theses, who make enabling a reflective construction to occur regarding the subject being addressed.
