SUMMARY:

This paper aims to analyze the use of Twitter by presidents of Argentina, Brazil, Chile Brazil, Chile, Colombia, and Venezuela during the electoral campaign and later during the mandate. In addition to observing how political leaders use digital platforms in different periods, we sought to identify to what extent the politician stays in a permanent campaign, if at all. The methodology used was content analysis, with the collection of the sample divided into two stages. In the first stage, we collected tweets and retweets from all profiles between January 20 and April 30, 2021. This data served to observe the content posted during the mandates.
