The combination of remineralizing silicate rockstone and biofertilization can be used, in combination, to provide nutrients and revitalize tropical soils. This work aims to present, particularly for the agricultural sector in Bahia, a compilation and analysis of the state of the art on rock stone and biofertilization - which represent sustainable techniques for the remineralization of oxisols, together with the interpretation of available databases, aiming at the identification areas with potential supply and demand for remineralizers in Bahia. To achieve these goals, the research established the following goals: a) to compile existing knowledge on agronomic efficiency tests with remineralizing rock powder, and b) to associate the concepts of remineralizers and biofertilization, discussing the mechanisms through which the combination of these techniques can accelerate the release of nutrients into the soil solution. The advantages of using these techniques were analyzed and demonstrated, as well as the benefits for plants, the food produced, living beings and, mainly, the environment. It should also be noted that such techniques are capable of promoting the maintenance of fertility over time.
